Senator Jibrin Wowo, Chairman of the Unity and Reconciliation Committee of the APC in the FCT, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership over the past two years. He said the President had made bold moves that brought visible changes to the economy, education, and infrastructure.

Wowo said Tinubu’s leadership had helped deepen democracy and renew public trust in governance. He highlighted the completion of the Mabushi Bridge, which he said had eased traffic for residents from Zuba, Kubwa, and Bwari.

He added that road upgrades around the Nicon Junction area had improved access to Gwarinpa. According to him, the infrastructure push was driven by the President’s commitment to development and faster urban mobility.

Wowo also praised the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for his swift actions. He said Wike had lived up to expectations and delivered on his mandate. “Wike came ready to work,” he said, “and he is transforming key roads in Abuja.”

The APC leader urged the President to cut red tape slowing down development. He called for more support to help expand the gains made so far.

Wowo also urged the government to include communities like Gishiri in the benefits of ongoing projects. He commended the swift compensation paid to families affected by infrastructure work. “I commend you for not leaving the people behind,” he said.

He acknowledged Wike’s disapproval of earlier resettlement efforts and his push for full compensation. “Only a progressive government can follow this path,” Wowo said. He added that the approach fits into the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Wowo said the visible projects across the city were already helping his committee’s work. “Your programmes are helping to reunite our members and rebuild trust in the party,” he said.
