Nigeria’s presence on the global innovation stage received a major boost as Task Systems Limited, a leading indigenous ICT company, clinched the Microsoft Partner of the Year Award. The company stood out among more than 4,000 applicants from 100 countries at the ceremony held in San Francisco, California.
The award, one of Microsoft’s most prestigious honors, recognizes partners delivering exceptional innovation, customer impact, and industry transformation. For Task Systems, the victory reflects almost four decades of resilience and technological leadership rooted in the Zinox Group’s legacy.
Founded by entrepreneur Leo Stan Ekeh, Task Systems has long been a quiet powerhouse, supporting Nigeria’s biggest corporations since the 1990s. The company designed early enterprise IT frameworks, built foundational digital systems for banks and media houses, and deployed hundreds of ICT professionals to global firms such as Shell, Chevron, and Total Plc. Over the years, it has earned more than 27 international awards.
A key driver of the company’s current momentum is its CEO, Mrs. Gozy Ijogun, whose leadership has repositioned Task Systems as a continental force. A UCL-trained chemist with an LSE master’s degree, she previously transformed Nigeria’s mobile device market through TD-Mobile, the country’s first structured device distribution network. Since assuming leadership in April 2023, she has expanded innovation capacity, strengthened global partnerships, and deepened the company’s technology footprint across industries.
Task Systems recently secured three global standards certifications: ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and SOC 2 Compliance, further reinforcing its reputation for security, continuity, and operational excellence.
In her remarks, Ijogun expressed gratitude to the organization’s long-standing partners, including the Federal Government of Nigeria, Access Bank, CBN, MTN, Dangote Group, NLNG, Bank of Ghana, and other major institutions. She said the recognition will drive even stronger innovation for Africa’s digital landscape.
