The Minister of Defence, retired General Christopher Musa, has credited his rise to national leadership to divine intervention, saying God lifted him when circumstances seemed unfavorable.
Musa shared his testimony during a recent service at Conquerors Global Assembly in Abuja, attended with his wife. He thanked the church founder, Bishop David Abioye, and prayed for the ministry’s continued growth.
Addressing worshippers, Musa encouraged hope and resilience. “We serve a living God who never gives up on us,” he said, adding that setbacks can become opportunities when faith is steadfast.
He urged Nigerians to remain united and prayerful, noting that collective strength is enhanced through faith. Musa also warned against persistent negative narratives about the country, saying criticism can undermine national progress.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nominated Musa as Minister of Defence on December 2, replacing Mohammed Badaru, who resigned on health grounds. The President expressed confidence in Musa’s ability to strengthen Nigeria’s security framework.
