The Oduduwa Development Initiative (ODI) has called on Nigerians of voting age to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, saying democracy thrives only when citizens perform their civic duty.

The group made the appeal on Tuesday in Ibadan after its executive meeting, following concerns raised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over poor voter turnout in Enugu, where only 1,801 fresh registrations were recorded in two weeks.

ODI President, Akinyele Olasumbo, also endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a blueprint for transforming Nigeria’s economy and governance.

The group commended four public officials for reforms in their agencies: Immigration chief Kemi Nandap, NSCDC boss Ahmed Audi, NDLEA chairman Buba Marwa, and JAMB registrar Is-haq Oloyede.

ODI said the officials’ performance proves good governance is possible, urging Nigerians to support reforms by registering to vote.
