Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, returned to the state on Friday, two days after President Bola Tinubu lifted the state of emergency imposed on Rivers and ordered his reinstatement.

Fubara’s aircraft landed at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, at exactly 11:50 a.m. He was warmly received by a crowd of loyal supporters, including former Commissioner for Information, Barr. Emma Okah; former Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh; ex-Nigerian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Oji Ngofa; former Environment Commissioner, Sydney Gbara; and factional Speaker of the State Assembly, Victor Oko-Jumbo.

Others at the airport reception were former Commissioner for Youths, Chisom Gbali; ex-Physical Planning Commissioner, Evans Bipi; former NUPENG President, Igwe Achese; former Commissioner for Education, Dr. Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja; alongside former Port Harcourt City and Obio/Akpor council chairmen, Ezebunwo Ichemati and others.
