The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at a launch ceremony in Abidjan. Covering 50 hectares, the plant has a production capacity of 3 million tonnes per year, making it one of the group’s largest facilities outside Nigeria. The project represents an investment of 100 billion CFA francs and reflects Aliko Dangote’s vision of a self-sufficient Africa capable of transforming its own resources.
