Nigeria’s Beyond Limit Football Academy has made history by emerging as the champions of the prestigious B17E category at the Gothia Cup 2025, held in Gothenburg, Sweden. The young stars from Nigeria sealed their triumph with a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas Youth Team, following a fiercely contested final.

The match, which ended in a stalemate during regulation time, showcased the best of youth football as both teams displayed tactical brilliance, technical skills, and unyielding determination. In the end, it was the boys from Beyond Limit who held their nerve during the penalty shootout to etch their names into the history books.

The victory is not only a major milestone for the academy but also a proud moment for Nigerian football, underlining the country’s growing influence in global youth football development. Beyond Limit Football Academy, based in Ikenne, Ogun State, has consistently produced top-tier talent and this international success further cements its reputation as one of Africa’s leading football academies.

Speaking after the win, the academy’s technical director praised the players’ resilience, saying, “This is a victory for hard work, discipline, and the Nigerian spirit. We dedicate this trophy to everyone back home supporting youth football.”

The Gothia Cup, known as the “World Youth Cup,” brings together thousands of young footballers from around the globe, making Beyond Limit’s victory even more significant on the international stage.

This landmark achievement is expected to inspire more investments in grassroots and academy football across Nigeria and the African continent.
