A cleric of the Church of Christ in Nations, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that he personally handled more than 70 mass burials in northern Nigeria, including a single grave where 501 victims were interred after an overnight massacre.

Dachomo made the claims during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where he reacted to government denial of genocide allegations. His remarks followed a heated exchange between Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar and former Canadian MP Goldie Ghamari over casualty figures.

He insisted that many mass killings in Christian communities such as the attack he referenced in Dogolawa—were far worse than publicly acknowledged and said authorities had often downplayed atrocities.

The cleric accused past political actors of enabling extremist violence for political ends, alleging that Boko Haram’s rise was linked to efforts to weaken former President Goodluck Jonathan. He recounted attacks where worshippers were locked inside churches and burned, and others where men were slaughtered and women taken captive.

Dachomo noted that some Muslim communities have also suffered, citing fatal clashes between rival extremist sects such as ISWAP, Boko Haram, Izala and Sunni factions.

He concluded with an appeal to former U.S. President Donald Trump to maintain attention on Nigeria’s security crisis, claiming the situation amounts to genocide affecting both Christians and Muslims.
