Jeremiah Ogaga Ayejegare, a certified FIFA Licensed Football Agent based in Nigeria, has expressed strong optimism about the future of football on the African continent, particularly in Nigeria. Speaking in a recent interview, Ayejegare emphasized the continent’s immense talent pool and the growing global interest in African football as a powerful signal for progress and development.
“As someone deeply involved in the game, I believe we’re entering a golden era for African football,” Ayejegare stated. “Nigeria, in particular, has always been rich in footballing talent. What we need now is a more structured ecosystem that nurtures young players and gives them a platform to shine both locally and internationally.”
Ayejegare, known for his role in facilitating professional football transfers and connecting African talents with opportunities abroad, highlighted the increasing role of licensed agents in ensuring transparency and professionalism in the transfer process. He stressed the need for continued investment in grassroots development, infrastructure, and capacity building across football institutions.
“We have the talent. What we need is sustainability—from proper training facilities and youth academies to a more robust league system that retains local interest,” he said.
The agent also praised recent efforts by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and private sector stakeholders in supporting domestic football, while urging for stronger partnerships between African football associations and global football bodies like FIFA and CAF.
“With the right leadership and vision, Nigeria can not only produce world-class players but also build a thriving football industry that supports coaches, agents, scouts, and administrators,” Ayejegare added.
Jeremiah Ogaga Ayejegare’s voice joins a growing chorus of African football professionals who believe that with strategic direction and international collaboration, Africa long known for its passionate fans and extraordinary athletes is on the cusp of becoming a true global football powerhouse.
