Prominent Nigerians, including the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade; the wife of Anambra State Governor, Nonye Soludo; and former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, have joined in celebrating the 65th birthday of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

In a goodwill message on Monday, Oba Owoade, through his media aide Bode Durojaiye, described the First Lady as “a role model who has exhibited uncommon wisdom, remarkable vision, and exemplary leadership.” He praised her sincerity and commitment to service, saying she “derives joy in serving people, not in enriching herself with public funds.”

The monarch added that Tinubu’s life reflects integrity and dedication to humanity. “Your leadership has meant so much to this country. Thank you for having such a positive impact on citizens,” he said.

Similarly, Anambra’s First Lady, Nonye Soludo, lauded Oluremi Tinubu’s compassion and support for women and children. “Your life is a perfect example of what selfless service should be. May this fresh start restore unto you sound health, greater wisdom, and the abundant grace to continue to serve humanity,” she said.

Betta Edu also joined in the tributes, describing the celebrant as “an epitome of grace, compassion, and kindness, especially towards the downtrodden.” She highlighted the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative as a transformative programme bringing succour to families and opportunities for women and youth.

“The milestone age of 65 is a moment of thanksgiving for the life and service of the First Lady, whom I refer to as the Mother of the Nation,” Edu said.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Tinubu, has been widely praised for her social interventions and advocacy for women, children, and vulnerable communities across Nigeria.
