In a colourful ceremony held at the Emir’s palace in Potiskum, the Emir stated that the appointments were based on merit, trustworthiness, service to humanity, and contributions to the development of the Emirate and Yobe State.

The Royal Father urged the new titleholders to be good ambassadors for the Emirate, the state, and Nigeria.

In his keynote address, the Chairman, organizing committee, Alhaji Ali Adamu Wazirin Fika, expressed gratitude to the Emir for his support in making the event a success.

Represented by the Kaura of Fika, AVM Bala Mohammed Bagare (Rtd), Alhaji Adamu also thanked the Emirate Council for its support in conferring the titles, acknowledging the appointees’ valuable contributions.

He urged the new titleholders to use their knowledge and experience to advise and guide the council.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, the new Talban Fika, DIG Bala Chiroma (Rtd), thanked the Emir and the people of Yobe State for their trust and confidence.

He assured the council of their commitment to representing the Emirate with dignity and honor.

    The newly turbaned individuals are:

    • AVM Alkali Muhammad Mamu (Rtd) as Barden Fika
    • DIG Bala Chiroma (Rtd) as Talban Fika
    • Muhammad Ajiya Waziri as Iyan Fika
