Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has urged Muslims across the state and Nigeria to uphold the spirit of Eid El-Kabir by embracing sacrifice, unity, and prayer for peace, in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a Sallah message released by his office on Wednesday, Governor Fintiri congratulated the Muslim Ummah for witnessing yet another Eid season, describing it as a time for deep reflection and spiritual renewal.

“Eid El-Kabir is not just a time of festivity but an opportunity to recommit ourselves to the values of sacrifice, honesty, dedication, and peace as we march towards a common destiny,” the governor said.

He emphasized that peaceful coexistence among citizens remains a key foundation for unity and development in Adamawa and across Nigeria. Governor Fintiri called on residents to be their brother’s keeper and show greater compassion during the festive period.

The governor also appealed for increased prayers for national security and progress, noting that the country is going through a critical phase that requires the full commitment of its people.

“I urge every Muslim and indeed all Nigerians to pray for our dear nation. This is a time to reflect on our shared challenges and to renew our hope in a better Nigeria built on peace and justice,” Fintiri added.

He extended warm wishes to pilgrims from Adamawa currently performing the Hajj rites in Saudi Arabia, praying for their successful Arafat and safe return.

Governor Fintiri concluded his message with prayers for God’s continued protection and prosperity for all citizens.
