ADC Youth Wing Warns: Tinubu, APC’s Political Manipulation Will Fail

The Youth Wing of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a stern warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing them of plotting to weaken the opposition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group alleged that the APC is “desperately attempting to buy over weak and inconsequential governors” in a bid to instill fear and discourage voter turnout.

Speaking exclusively with The North Journals, Comrade Chika Idoko, Special Adviser on Press and Media Relations to the National Youth Leader of the ADC, said the ruling party has resorted to “political manipulations aimed at discouraging Nigerians from exercising their civic rights.”

“The APC and President Tinubu are known for making empty promises to defectors, assuring them that INEC will be compromised to guarantee victory. But Nigerians are now wiser and more determined to defend their votes,” Idoko stated.

He said Nigerians have become more politically conscious and are rallying behind the ADC to resist what he described as hunger, insecurity, impunity, and tribalism, “the defining features of the current administration.”

The ADC Youth Wing reaffirmed its commitment to democratic integrity and warned that any attempt by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) or the APC to manipulate the 2027 elections would be met with firm, lawful resistance.

“The people’s votes must count. Nigerians will no longer tolerate electoral fraud, intimidation, or manipulation. The era of rigging is over,” Idoko declared.

He called on young Nigerians to remain vigilant, reject inducements, and prepare to vote decisively for change through the ADC platform.

“The movement to reclaim Nigeria has already begun,” he said.
