The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the full list of nominees for the 2025 CAF Awards, celebrating the continent’s finest players, coaches, clubs, and national teams.

The awards, covering the period from January 6 to October 15, 2025, honour outstanding achievements and contributions to African and global football.

A statement from CAF on Monday said the nominees were shortlisted by a panel of experts, including members of the CAF Technical and Development Committee, CAF Legends, veteran coaches, and media representatives.

Among the ten nominees for the African Player of the Year are Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool), Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Cameroon/Napoli), and Victor Osimhen (Nigeria/Galatasaray)  all recognised for their exceptional seasons with club and country. Others include Fiston Mayele (DR Congo/Pyramids), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/PSG), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea/Borussia Dortmund), Denis Bouanga (Gabon/LAFC), Oussama Lamlioui (Morocco/RS Berkane), Iliman Ndiaye (Senegal/Everton), and Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal/Tottenham Hotspur).

In the Goalkeeper of the Year category, nominees include Andre Onana (Cameroon/Trabzonspor), Yassine Bonou (Morocco/Al Hilal), Stanley Nwabali (Nigeria/Chippa United), and Edouard Mendy (Senegal/Al Ahli), among others.

The Men’s Coach of the Year nominees feature Walid Regragui (Morocco), Hossam Hassan (Egypt), Bubista (Cape Verde), Pape Thiaw (Senegal), and Krunoslav Jurcic (Pyramids).

CAF also released shortlists for Young Player of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, National Team of the Year, and Club of the Year, with familiar African giants like Mamelodi Sundowns, RS Berkane, Pyramids FC, and ASEC Mimosas leading the club category.

The winners will be announced at a high-profile ceremony later this year, with CAF emphasising that the awards celebrate “the spirit, talent, and resilience of African football.”
