Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, has honoured Lotechukwu Isioma Ikpo for becoming the institution’s first graduate to complete her degree with a perfect 5.0/5.0 CGPA. The university announced her historic achievement on Monday through its official Facebook page.

Ikpo, who was named Best Graduating Student at the 25th Convocation Ceremony held on November 1, 2025, was praised for her exceptional academic discipline and resilience. Bowen University noted that her journey was marked by significant personal challenges, including the loss of her father during her second year.

Despite the setback, Ikpo excelled, completing her programme with top distinctions. Her emotional moment of recognition included multiple awards and a fully funded Master’s scholarship.

The university described her success as an inspiration to students across the institution, encouraging them to pursue excellence with determination and passion.

Bowen University, owned by the Nigerian Baptist Convention, said Ikpo’s achievement demonstrates the limitless possibilities available to students who remain focused and committed.
