Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has condemned the latest bandit attack in Eruku and called for urgent reinforcement of security personnel in Ekiti Local Government Area to stem rising violence.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor urged security agencies to immediately deploy additional operatives to strengthen the existing response structure in the affected region. He expressed sympathy to residents of Eruku, particularly families of victims and the Christ Apostolic Church community hit by Tuesday’s assault.

The statement noted that the state government will continue to support security agencies working to protect lives and property across Kwara.

Governor AbdulRazaq also praised President Bola Tinubu for approving the deployment of 900 extra troops to the state, saying the move had already contributed to improved stability in previously troubled areas. He expressed confidence that the fresh reinforcement would provide stronger deterrence and further enhance public safety.
