The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has warned members of the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling for false information being spread online in its name.

In a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC advised Nigerians to always verify any party-related information through its official communication platforms.

“The party admonishes Nigerians to verify every of its information via the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of its National Publicity Secretary, @BolajiADC,” Abdullahi stated.

He emphasized that any statements or claims that do not originate from the party’s verified communication channels particularly the X handle of the spokesperson—should be treated as false and disregarded.

This advisory comes amid growing concern over the spread of politically motivated misinformation and fake social media accounts posing as official party representatives.

The ADC reaffirmed its commitment to transparent communication and urged media outlets, supporters, and the general public to rely solely on trusted and verifiable sources for party news and updates.
