The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed Aminu Adamu Ahmed, publisher of The North Journals, as the Head of Media and Communications to the Office of the National Youth Leader, Balarabe Rufa’i.

In an official appointment letter dated October 13, 2025, Rufa’i commended Adamu’s wealth of experience in media relations, strategic communications, and his consistent dedication to advancing youth participation and political development across Nigeria.

“You are expected to strengthen the visibility and communication efforts of the ADC Youth Wing at both national and state levels,” the letter stated, underscoring the strategic importance of Adamu’s new role.

As Head of Media and Communications, Adamu will be responsible for leading the youth wing’s media and communications strategy, coordinating press engagements for the National Youth Leader, supervising digital and traditional media teams across states, and developing coherent messaging to promote the wing’s programmes and priorities.

The responsibilities also include building strong relationships with journalists and media organizations to enhance the party’s visibility, ensuring effective internal communications between national and state youth media representatives, and liaising with the Personal Assistant to the National Youth Leader for coordinated media actions.

Balarabe Rufa’i, in his congratulatory message, expressed confidence that Adamu’s leadership in media strategy will “give greater visibility and impact to the youth wing’s agenda nationwide.”

Adamu’s appointment marks a significant step in the ADC Youth Wing’s efforts to strengthen its communications structure and expand its influence across Nigeria’s political landscape.
