President Bola Tinubu has named Deputy Controller-General Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the next Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service. The appointment was announced through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

According to the Board’s Secretary, Maj.-Gen. (Rtd.) A. M. Jibril, Adeyemi will assume office on August 14 following the retirement of the current CG, Engr. Abdulganiyu Jaji Olola, who turns 60 on August 13.

Adeyemi, a seasoned officer who transferred from the FCT Fire Service to the federal service, has held key positions including Deputy CG in charge of Human Resources.

He has undergone all mandatory training and is a member of several professional bodies including ANAN, the Institute of Corporate Administration, and the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management.

The Board praised outgoing CG Olola for his transformative leadership and expressed confidence in Adeyemi’s ability to lead the Service into a new phase of professionalism and operational excellence.
