Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have abducted an 18-year-old boy, Azura Ayuba, in Kopre village, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama, in a post shared on X on Friday

According to Makama, the incident happened on Thursday afternoon when Ayuba and another teenager, Augustine, 17, went into the bush to fetch firewood. Reports said the two boys ran into about 20 armed insurgents.

While Augustine managed to escape and rushed back home, Ayuba was seized and taken away by the terrorists.

Makama added that the troops of Operation Hadin Kai, working together with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, had begun a search operation to rescue the boy.
