The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released the results of its 2025 Computer-Based Test (CBT), marking a major step forward in the ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise for Nigeria’s security and paramilitary agencies.
The CBT, conducted between 12 and 19 November 2025, attracted hundreds of thousands of applicants across the country, according to data from the Board’s recruitment command centre.
A breakdown of the performance distribution shows:
- 0 – 40: 221,996 candidates
- 41 – 60: 229,155 candidates
- 61 – 80: 278,543 candidates
- 81 – 100: 142,697 candidates
The figures highlight the strong interest of Nigerian youths in joining the security services and contributing to national stability.
The Board said the next phase of the exercise—Physical Screening and Document Verification (Stage Four)—will begin shortly. This stage is expected to shortlist candidates who meet the required physical and documentation standards before proceeding to final training and deployment.
The CDCFIB reiterated its commitment to a recruitment process anchored on merit, transparency, and fairness, assuring applicants that only qualified and disciplined individuals will advance.
As Nigeria works to strengthen its internal security framework, the Board described the recruitment exercise as a critical step in enhancing manpower and operational readiness across its agencies.
