Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has declared free dialysis treatments across the state, bringing much-needed relief to kidney patients.

This bold initiative is part of the governor’s mission to transform healthcare, ensuring that urban and rural communities receive quality medical services without financial barriers.

For the first time in the state’s history, the Adamawa State Specialists Hospital in Yola now boasts a fully operational dialysis center. Until now, patients had to rely on the Federal Medical Center or embark on long, costly journeys for life-saving treatment.

Dr. Wadinga Dauda, Medical Director of the hospital, hailed the initiative as a game-changer, crediting Governor Fintiri for prioritizing essential healthcare infrastructure, including the construction of new cottage hospitals across the state.

Patients are already feeling the impact. One beneficiary of the free dialysis program described it as a “lifeline,” expressing gratitude for the opportunity to receive treatment without the usual financial strain.

Governor Fintiri’s leadership continues to draw widespread praise, with many hailing him as a true servant of the people, dedicated to eliminating healthcare inequalities and reshaping Adamawa’s medical landscape.
