The Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has moved the launch of its recruitment portal to Monday, July 14, 2025, pushing back the earlier June 26 start date.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the Secretary to the Board and shared with journalists confirmed the shift, attributing it to a “schedule adjustment,” although no further details were disclosed.
The recruitment portal recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng serves as the sole official entry point for applications into several of Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Nigeria Correctional Service.
“The Board regrets any inconvenience the rescheduling may cause applicants,” the statement read, adding that all applications will remain entirely free of charge. Prospective candidates were also warned to avoid unofficial or third-party sites, especially in light of previous experiences.
The CDCFIB’s last recruitment round in 2023 faced heavy criticism following technical issues and reports of extortion by fraudulent agents, prompting a revamp of the application system. The Board assured applicants of a streamlined and transparent process this time around.
