As part of ongoing efforts to enhance internal security and economic prosperity in Nigeria, the Nigeria Police Force is set to hold the 5th Edition of the Nigerian Police Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers (CARSPO 2025). The event will take place from February 24 to 26, 2025, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

With the theme “Improving Nigeria’s Internal Security and Economic Prosperity Through Inclusive Policing”, CARSPO 2025 underscores the commitment of both the federal and state governments to making security a top priority in governance. The conference will bring together key stakeholders in Nigeria’s security landscape, fostering discussions on innovative strategies for addressing security challenges and promoting sustainable economic growth.

A distinguished lineup of attendees is expected at the retreat, including all state governors, members of the National Assembly, the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu , service chiefs, and heads of security agencies. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour, highlighting the administration’s dedication to strengthening security frameworks across the country.

The conference will serve as a strategic platform for senior police officers to engage in high-level deliberations, exchange insights, and develop actionable policies aimed at improving policing strategies. By fostering collaboration between security agencies, policymakers, and government officials, the event is poised to reinforce Nigeria’s internal security architecture and create a safer environment for economic prosperity.

As the nation continues to navigate complex security challenges, initiatives like CARSPO 2025 play a crucial role in shaping a more secure and resilient Nigeria.
