The Nigeria Patriotic Front Movement (NPFM) has announced plans for a peaceful nationwide protest on August 1, 2025, to mark the one-year anniversary of the End Bad Governance demonstrations.

Speaking in Kano on Wednesday, NPFM National Chairman Abdulmajid Daudu said the march will honour those killed, missing, or jailed during last year’s protest and demand justice from the federal government.

“We are marching to remember, to demand accountability, and to push for reforms,” Daudu stated.

He called on the government to apologies to affected families and provide compensation, insisting that citizens must not be denied their right to peaceful protest.

NPFM also renewed calls for lower fuel prices, payment of pension arrears, improved security, and a better standard of living.
