The outgoing Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Chris Hassan, says he has no regrets about leading the party back to power after years under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking in Jos on Friday during a valedictory briefing, Hassan — who took over party leadership in 2021 — said the PDP administration under Governor Caleb Mutfwang has performed creditably across governance, peacebuilding, and infrastructure.
“We have no regrets returning the PDP to power. The current administration is doing well and setting new standards,” he said, while commending the media for their support during his four-year tenure.
Highlighting the PDP’s performance in the 2023 elections, Hassan noted the party’s victory in the governorship race, two senatorial seats, five House of Representatives seats, and 16 state assembly positions.
He urged members to remain loyal despite recent defections, assuring that “a stronger and more united PDP will soon emerge.”
Hassan also congratulated the incoming state executive ahead of the party’s congress scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025, where new leaders will be elected.
