Rotational Nurses and Midwives in Ghana have announced a nationwide strike starting June 2, 2025, due to delayed payment of their allowances. The association gave the Ministries of Health and Finance 14 working days to clear the backlog but received no response. President Ebenezer Boateng expressed frustration over the silence and warned that the strike will proceed as planned. The nurses and midwives have worked nearly a year without financial clearance and demand immediate action to resolve the issue.
