President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), on her election as Vice-President of Airports Council International (ACI) Africa.

In a statement by his Spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended Kuku’s leadership and foresight, noting her rise from Regional Advisor for Africa to a permanent member of the ACI World Governing Board.

The President said her recognition reflected FAAN’s sustained efforts in ensuring safe and efficient air transport in Nigeria.

Kuku’s election was ratified during the 34th ACI Africa General Assembly held in Lusaka, Zambia, on September 13, 2025.

Founded in 1991, ACI represents more than 2,000 airports across 170 countries and develops global standards and best practices for airport operations.
