Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang hosted delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the North Central zone to a dinner at the New Government House, Rayfield, ahead of the party’s zonal congress.

At the event, Governor Mutfwang commended the delegates for their resilience and loyalty despite recent challenges. He reaffirmed the PDP’s commitment to strengthening its structure and positioning itself for electoral success in 2027.

Describing the PDP as one of Nigeria’s most organized and ideologically driven parties, Mutfwang highlighted ongoing efforts, including a committee led by Senator Bukola Saraki, to resolve internal issues and prepare for a peaceful National Executive Committee meeting.

Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, praised Mutfwang’s leadership and expressed confidence in the party’s resurgence. PDP North Central Vice Chairman, Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan, lauded the governor’s impactful governance and support for the party.

Governor Mutfwang also recognized the party’s founding fathers and emphasized the strategic importance of the North Central zone in the PDP’s national growth.
