The Sokoto State Government has announced that its graduate recruitment exercise will begin on Monday, September 22, and run until October 6, 2025.

In a statement on Saturday, the Secretary of the Recruitment Committee, Gandi Muhammad, said the process is aimed at providing employment opportunities for qualified indigenes across the state’s 23 local government areas.

Applicants are required to obtain free forms from their local governments of origin before completing the application online at https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng. Candidates must register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, fill in their biodata, and upload key documents, including academic certificates, proof of indigene, birth certificate, and National Identification Number.

Muhammad emphasized that the exercise is free of charge, warning against multiple submissions or payments to intermediaries. “Shortlisted applicants will be notified through their registered email or via the portal. Any further tests or screening will be communicated officially,” he said.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu had earlier approved the constitution of the recruitment committee to oversee the hiring of 3,000 new workers, describing the initiative as part of efforts to tackle unemployment and boost manpower in critical sectors.
